Hello, and welcome to this month’s round up of Prime Purchases. I told myself I wasn’t going to shop much in August because of all the Prime Day sale purchases in July, but there were some things I needed, and then I decided to get a jump on fall shopping and planning, so best intentions went down the drain. Keep reading to see my Amazon fall haul.
The good news is that I don’t regret (most) of my August Prime Purchases, so let’s jump into it. I’ve noted the things I didn’t like.
My Fall Haul
Cicy Bell Round Neck Vest
I hemmed and hawed over this purchase all summer and then finally pulled the trigger. With our weather, and navy being trendy for this fall, I can still get some wear out of it. I just have to wear a blazer with it for work because sleeveless items aren’t allowed. It works great for elevated casual looks too, so I can wear it off duty as well. Note, the cutaway at the bottom might show a bit of belly. I use my tag gun to tack it closed at the bottom. I purchased it in a medium which fits well for me.
Reebok Women’s Nano X4 Sneaker
I needed new sneakers for working out. I’ve been in Hokas for running and walking for a couple of years, but they aren’t very sturdy for lifting weights, and the price is pretty hefty. I decided to do some research and ordered these for weight training. They are stiff and sturdy but that’s what I want for stability. I would not go for a walk or run in them.
Brooks Ghost 16 Neutral Running Shoe
I still needed a shoe for running and walking, so I went back to Brooks. I used to run in Brooks shoes all the time. These are perfect for the light running and walking I do now.
Colourpop Going Coconuts Eyeshadow Palette
It was time to throw out some old makeup and replace it. I finally got past my allergy issues and decided I could wear eye shadow again. This is a nice everyday neutral palette with some shimmers to jazz things up for night time.
Baleaf Workout Top
This is one of my favorite brands of work out wear. I had this in my watch list and snagged it when it went on deal. This is the back view.
Seamless Underwear
I continuously see influencers talking about how great these and other brands are. I decided to give them a try because some of my undies need replacing too. These are the one purchase I regret because they are not “no show” like everyone touts them to be and I didn’t find them to be very comfortable.
Tankaneo Womens Puff Sleeve Shirts Peter Pan Collar
I’m hoping fourth times a charm with this blouse. I ordered it and the button placket just didn’t seem to be made correctly and didn’t quite meet well enough. I reorded it in a medium and large and they seemed to be better made with more overlap on the buttons, but the one with the best fit (large) was damaged. A chunk had been cut out of the bottom. I’ve ordered a fourth one, so we will see. It’s soft and super cute, but not the best made item. Order mutiples to increase your chance of getting a good one.
Burgundy Suede Bag
An inexpensive way to get in on fall trends– burgundy, slouchy bags, and suede. It’ s basic but cute.
Tankaneo Women Casual Cropped Jacket
A cute lightweight jacket that can be worn on the warmest of fall days. Throw this on with a tank for fall feels without overheating.
Women’s Jeans High Waisted Straight Leg Stretchy Jeans
Love at first sight. These jeans are buttery soft. I’m wearing them in the 10 short, which is perfect for me at 5’2″.
Barn Jacket
Cotton with a corduroy collar. This jacket is light and soft, and not stiff like some barn jackets you come across.
Marc Fisher Lanai Pump
These have been in my watch list for quite some time, and dropped to a price I could not resist. They also come in a burgundy and a grey cloth. Such an elegant shoe!
Project Cloud Sneakers
Yes, I have a bit of a shoe addiction. This mocha color is so pretty and these are comfy sneakers. They come in lots of other trendy colors, including leopard print.
luvamia Wide Leg Jeans
I ordered these in rust. They are cropped, but fit more like an ankle pant on me, and I’m okay with that. I highly recommend these because they are soft, stretchy and comfortable.
Square Neck Fitted Tank Top
These are great for wearing under jackets and blazers. My old white one was getting dingy and needed replacing. I will likely get other colors.
Coutgo Womens Mary Jane Flats
If you follow me regularly, you know I love Mary Jane flats. I have them in some form in silver, black, ivory and leopard. I decided I needed a brown pair for fall. These are cute and simple. I size down a half size in this brand.
Carry On Luggage with Wheels 16-inch Softside Black
I generally travel with a back pack as my personal item on flights and sometimes an extra carry on, but I hate the carry on we have and the back pack sometimes gets heavy wearing it through the airport. Someone on You tube promoted this rolling underseat carry on and decided to give it a try. I haven’t used it yet. I ordered this one, this bagsmart one and an Amazon essentials and this one won. The Amazon on was too big for most underseat storage and the bagsmart one has locking snaps on the handles that I just could not do battle with. I could only get them open about 1 of every 10 try. The bag I kept has pockets that I like for sorting the things I would want for overnight and will still hold a change of clothes.
Zeagoo Womens Fashion Cropped Corduroy Shacket
I already have one of these in camel and ordered another in a lighter color. They are the perfect weight for our warm fall weather.
EnjoyNight Capri Pajama Pants
I have these pjs in a set and the bottoms have seen better days. I replaced them with this pair. The pjs are fun and comfortable.
HartFelt 2ct Tear Drop Gentle Face Scrubber
Another item I was influenced to buy, but don’t waste your time, unless you want to tear the skin off your face. There is nothing gentle about these.
8 Pcs Flat Hair Clips for Women
I had these in my watch list. Now that my hair has grown out, I’m trying to style it and put it up different ways. I like that these are flat as claw clips bump the headrest on the carseat when I drive and these won’t. Be warned- these are for really thick hair. They will hold in mine and will be great as it gets longer, but you do need thick hair.
That’s a wrap for August’s prime purchases. That’s a lot for someone who wasn’t going to shop. Who am I kidding? I keep a running watch list on Amazon for things I want and need, and when the prices drop, I make my move.
