I took a little break from Amazon shopping in July, and only purchased a few things. August wasn’t filled with purchases either but there was still some shopping and some good things, so I’m combining the two months into one post.
Fashion and Beauty Finds
Willit Linen Pants in White
I ordered my favorite linen blend pants in white, only to be disappointed. They are partially lined and the lining shows through. That’s always a no for me. It looks tacky, so back they went. I’m still happy with all the other colors I own.
Dream Pairs Kitten Heel Flip Flops
Dream Pairs is one of my go to brands on Amazon for shoes. I tried a different brand of this style shoe and found it to be uncomfortable. This one is much better and I like the extra strap on this one. It makes it just a tad bit dressier.
Cushionaire jelly shoes/ballet flats
I gave into this trend and ordered these shoes. Around here, I can wear them into fall. These have a little cushioning inside, but I would not want to stand or walk in them for 8 hours. They work just fine for going out for a few hours.
Leather Watch Band
The keeper bands on my watch bands always wear off and I needed a replacement. I have no complaints about this one. It’s a nice looking band.
Anrabess Waffle Knit Henley Sweatshirt
3 of my favorite things bundled into one here- waffle knits, henleys, and sweatshirts. It’s torture living in a climate that doesn’t allow me to wear sweatshirts much, but come late fall, this one will be perfect. It’s not too heavy and it’s a soft knit. Waffle knit can feel a little rough sometimes, but the inside is smooth. It’s a drop shoulder, so if you have wide shoulders you might want to skip this one, but it’s perfect for us pears who need to broaden the top half the equal out the bottom.
Dream Pairs Retro Lace Up Sneakers
I’m obsessed with the double lace trend on sneakers so I ordered these in the brown and grey. Both are super cute and comfortable.
iRestore LED Face Mask
The hubby ordered this for my birthday gift in July. I have been using it for about six weeks now and I’m happy with it. It’s easy and comfortable to use, and my skin is beginning to look a little brighter.
Verilux HappyLight Lumi Plus
It is recommended that you get ten minutes of daylight within an hour of waking to improve sleep, mood and energy. That’s hard to do when you work and get up while it’s dark. The next best thing is a 10,000 lux light. I have used this for a couple of weeks now and it has made me feel less groggy in the mornings. I can’t say that I sleep better yet but I do notice it is easier to wake up.While I read my devotional, check email and have my coffee, I let the light run.
Random Household Purchases
Lens Wipes
If you wear glasses or readers, you know that it’s annoying to try and see through dirty glasses. I ordered these to restock and keep them everywhere- home, work, desk, backpack and purse. I used them for my camera gear long before I needed readers.
Emergency Wound Closure Kit
The hubby keeps all kinds of medical supplies stashed in his vehicle, mine, and everywhere. He ordered these for his kits. He also ordered 3M Steri Strip Skin Closures. These are better than band-aids for cuts. They don’t just cover- they close the cuts.
3 Pack Portable Tick Removal Tools
The hubby works outdoors in the woods at times where ticks are an issue, so he ordered these to have on hand.
Kitinjoy Terry Kitchen Dish Cloths
Replacing and upgrading our worn out dish clothes was long overdue. I grabbed these and have been happy with the quality and fun colors.
Swanlake 26-Piece Hex Head Allen Wrench Drill Bit Set
The hubby is always tinkering with something, building or repairing something. He ordered these for one of his projects.
30 Seconds Pro Mold and Mildew Stain Remover
I’m more impressed with this stuff than anything else I ordered in the last two months. It really is no scrub and the mildew is gone from my shower! We live in a humid climate and battle mildew daily. Our shower had gotten out of hand. I had a couple of days off and decided to tackle the mildew. After one day scrubbing I gave in and ordered this stuff. It’s amazing! I have a few spots left I intend to treat when it cools off as the smell is awful and windows need to be opened, but it’s worth that inconvenience to be rid of the mildew.
Shewind Portable Handheld Fan
This little mini fan is amazing. The hubby had several students working outside in the summer heat who were wearing these around their neck, so he ordered each of us one. I don’t care for the neck strap, but it’s perfect for the bathroom counter while I’m getting ready.
Cap Folding Mat
I sit more at work now, and it’s killing me. My hips and back are tight and I’m trying to implement more stretching. I have a mat in the garage for workouts, and ordered this one for inside the house. We have tile floors, so floor exercises and stretches aren’t very comfortable without a mat. So far, this is great and it folds up for putting it away.
