Spring will be here soon enough, but it’s not quite here yet and that means you may be in a winter style rut. It’s been cold for months now and you just don’t have the interest to pick out another outfit. Another sweater… And what’s the point when you are hiding a cute outfit under a heavy jacket? Break out of that winter style rut with these three outfits.
- Add some color. Layer up a colorful flannel shirt with a puffer vest and colorful infinity scarf. Tall boots will help keep you warm. It’s okay to go ahead and wear some bright colors to break out of that winter style rut.

2. Wear your neutral chunky sweater with patterned pants. Pair a white cable knit sweater with snakeskin jeans. Try tucking the sweater. It’s the same as tucking any other top, just play with it a bit because a sweater is a little bulkier.

Other ways to break out of a winter style rut:
Clean out your closet. Anytime I feel uninspired, a good closet cleaning and purging is sure to bring my attention to something new. You might be tempted to go shopping, but I suggest shopping your closet first.
Pull out spring or summer pieces and find a way to “winterize them.” Throw a sweater over a dress, or pair it with a favorite spring skirt and boots.
Try a new lipstick or makeup.
