The Prime Day Deals are still going strong. There is so much to cover. In this post I’m sharing some of my favorites for health and fitness, and travel essentials.
Maintaining my health is important to me, more so as I age. It’s not just for vanity or appearance’s sake, but to maintain mobility, strength and my independence. If you don’t have a daily routine that includes some physical activity, I encourage you to start. I’m sharing several fitness items that take up very little space in your home and are perfect for beginners.

Workout Wear
First, if you are going to workout, dress for it. Don’t hide under sloppy tees and shorts. Cute workout wear that fits and does its job can motivate you to workout and with more effort.
My all time favorite leggings for working out and wearing casually are my all time best seller, and they happen to be on sale. Whether you choose to workout or hangout in these, you will get great compression and coverage.
It’s important to hydrate, whether you are working out or not, so be sure to grab a water bottle or two while they are on sale. I have one of these Hydro Cell bottles and it serves me well, but you can also get a great deal on other well known brands right now like Camelbak and Stanley.
Running Girl sports bras have become my favorite, and I prefer the molded cup to the removable pads. The removable pads sometimes don’t stay in place and become annoying, but if you prefer those, Running Girl comes in both. I also like the CRZ Yoga Butterluxe sports bra and ordered one yesterday.
These biker shorts are my favorite workout shorts. I like the 5 inch or 6-inch inseam.
I also like to replace my worn-out tanks that I wear for workouts during these sales.
Fitness Equipment
You can get a good strength workout with minimal equipment. Don’t shy away from weight lifting, ladies. It’s important to maintain muscle to maintain stability, mobility and bone density. I might get old, but I don’t plan on getting frail from just sitting around.
Resistance bands can help with strength training, and I love having them when I travel and may not have access to dumbbells.
If you are serious about strength training, a set of weights like this will keep you going for a while. You can also get a few single weights to get started.
A weighted vest can add so much to a walk. I got this one last year and love wearing it on my walks. I also love that I can adjust the weight from 4-10 lb.
I also splurged for a walking pad/ treadmill last year during Black Friday deals. It didn’t exactly fit where I wanted it to, but it doesn’t take up much space and moves around easily. I can hop on when I need to get in a few extra steps or when I can’t get outside due to inclement weather. I picked this model because it has two speed modes, and I can get in a jog if I want to.
Sleep is essential to our well-being, especially for recovery after a workout. You can get better sleep with a sleep mask. I already have one for traveling because hotel rooms are the worst for too much light, but I’m thinking of upgrading to a weighted sleep mask or this one for side sleepers.
Maintaining a proper diet might require you to measure your food. I love my electronic food scale for making sure I get the right amount of a serving and not too much.
A scale like this one helps me know if I’m really making progress because it’s about so much more than your weight in pounds.

Travel

This Beautural foldable steamer goes with my on all my trips. It doesn’t take up much room and it’s worth every inch that it does take up.
I have a heat resistant sheath for a curling iron that I have had since graduation. It gets the job done but I’m considering this hair tools bag with heat resistant mat.
This Bagsmart toiletry bag lets me put everything in one bag. When I need to downsize a little, I go back to this hanging toiletry bag.
I have something similar to this jewelry bag and can’t imagine traveling without it.
Packing cubes are a must for me. I am so much more organized on a trip now.
A great weekender bag is a must for an overnight trip. This one has a built in charging port. I have this one and it’s surpringly roomy for a small bag.
This travel cable organizer is one of the best things I’ve ever bought. Now I can easily find chargers and cords.
