Now that Amazon Prime days have wound down, I’m finally turning my attention to the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. You may have already been shopping if you are a card holder. Public access starts in a few hours. I haven’t been that excited about it because I’m not a big designer brand shopper, and that’s where the biggest savings are- premium denim, designer bags and shoes and big ticket beauty items. If you shop those things, this is a great sale.
If you just get excited to see what fall fashion will look like and get a jump on some things in the mid-range price points, then this can still be a good sale to shop, but frustrating because a lot of these items sell out by the time the sale opens to the public. I’m here to help you navigate what’s left.
I’m starting with shoes, because that’s what I tend to buy in this sale- shoes that are a great discount, bras or pjs and beauty items. I’ve learned not to buy too many “fantasy fall” sweaters and jackets, because it takes a while for the weather to cool down here. I’m better served buying things I can wear or use.
Shoes
Blondo Penny Loafer
You can’t go wrong with a classic penny loafer and Blondo is a great brand. There are lots of neutral colors and a great navy color in this shoe.
Sam Edelman Lucca Loafer
If you are a Sam Edelman fan, and prefer a more sleek, minimal profile loafer, you can get a significant savings on this one right now.
Cole Haan Ballerina Flat
Cole Haan has never disappointed me and the loafers I bought several sales ago are still going strong. These ballerina flats would be a great investment.
Rothy’s Square Mary Jane
If you are a Roth’s fan or want to give them a try, there is a significant savings here too and these would be a great go with everything shoe.
Franco Sarto Destin Slingback Flat
These are a classy looking shoe. The taupe would go with everything and the mustard brown multi would add a lot of interest to your outfits.
Vionic Heloise Mary Jane Flat
The color Cherry Jubilee caught my eye in this shoe. This a another great discount if you need a comfort shoe.
Nike Pacific Low Top Sneaker
Love this color scheme and whenever there is a sale, sneakers like this tend to sell out.

The waterproof feature of these make them a must have.

Wear these with jeans or pair them with trousers and skirts for work.

Bombers and cropped jackets will continue to be on trend this fall. A blazer also makes a great fall layer.
