Adding some seasonal touches to the outside and inside of your home is a great way to welcome the change of season and fall is certainly a great season to decorate for. All of the rich warm colors and texture that natural items create beckon to be used on your fall outdoor decor.
I’m lagging a bit behind and I don’t have out my fall outdoor decor yet. I usually decorate around the front door. Sometimes it’s very simple and sometimes I do a little more.
You don’t have to break the bank to have a welcoming fall entry. I created the mock up with some budget friendly items available now for decorating your fall front porch, door or entryway.
Welcoming the fall season can be as easy as putting out a fall doormat and hanging a wreath. You can add a little extra by layering a scatter rug under your doormat.
Go a step further and add some outdoor accessories. Send a message to the neighborhood with a porch sign. Scatter out some pumpkins, real or faux, and some hay bales. Lanterns also make great porch accessories. Don’t forget to add some fall color with plants and planters. If you are like me and don’t have a greenthumb, there’s no shame in using some faux flowers and plants.

If you have a patio or fire pit area, you can cozy up that area with fall outdoor decor as well for entertaining friends and family.
Pile on the cozy blankets for snuggling. Pull out some fall colored pillows or cozy knit pillow to add some color and texture. Mums are great for outdoor areas. Lanterns with candles work well here too for creating an ambient glow, as well as string lighting. Scatter some pumpkins around this area too. These floor pillows can provide extra seating if needed and keep folks from sitting on cold floors or the ground.
Make sure you have a serving tray on hand for smores or snacks and mugs for coffee or hot chocolate.
