I have always been hesitant to wear this gingham button up to the office. It appeals to me as more of a casual shirt as worn here.

However, adding a structured blazer, dress pants, and faux pearls gave it the business vibes it needed to be worn to the office.  Don’t ever discount a pattern or piece as not being office appropriate. Well, some things are, but depending on what you pair an item with, it may just become office appropriate.

Gingham is classic print so it only needs a few considerations to make it part of an office outfit.

Wearing gingham in classic cuts and pieces like a button up shirt, pencil skirts or classic ankle pants can help make it office appropriate. Tone it down by pairing it with solid neutral colors like this navy blazer.

In cooler months, you can layer it under a solid sweater for another office look.

I hope you guys had a great weekend. I also want to welcome my new Bloglovin followers. I hope you find inspiration here.

Have a great week! How would you wear gingham to the office? Be sure to check out Jennie’s post.
