25 Teacher Outfits for Fall 2024

It’s time to head back to the classroom or maybe the office if you have decided to go back to work this year when the kids go to school. Don’t stress over what to wear. Here are teacher outfits, business casual work wear, and elevated casual looks to take you back to work in style this fall.

Dress codes can vary wildly from school district to school district. Even the outfit you need for a certain day might vary. One day might be casual Friday and another day might be a parent-teacher conference that requires you dress up a bit more. There is something here for everyone.

The common requirements for teacher outfits are: clothes you can move around in, layers that you can remove or add when the temps fluctuate, and comfortable shoes. And don’t we all want that for work, regardless of where we work?

These outfits check all the boxes above and they are affordable.

Sweater + khaki pants

Start the school year off when it’s still warm with a short sleeve sweater and khaki pants. Blue fabric flats in a different shade of blue add some interest to this look. Complete the look with gold earrings and a gold and white bracelet stack.

Striped sweater + grey pants + pink loafers

Another early fall look for the days that don’t require a third layer. If you do want a third layer, add a black blazer or cardigan. This look is neutral but with an unexpected surprise of color in the shoes. To be on trend this fall, try this look with red loafers or flats.

Tan Sweater + Black Pants + Sling back flats

A pair of black pants is a must have in a work wardrobe. You can pair just about anything with them and dress them up or down. Dress these up with a short sleeve sweater and gold jewelry. The fabric slingbacks add a little more texture to the outfit and provide a fall feel while it’s still warm out.

Navy Top + Plum Trousers

Burgundy and plum are going to be big stars this fall. Pair a pretty pair of plum trousers with a navy top to keep it conservative and professional. Finish the look with a plum colored shoes to extend the leg line.

Blazer + Floral Top + Grey Pants

For those conferences, meetings or for those who work in an office and need to level it up, a blazer should be your go to. Transition from summer to fall with this lighter plum blazer and floral top. Complete the look with a nude or grey heel or pointed toe flat.

These pieces are from Amazon. The blazer is a great quality and the pants have a nice stretch to them. I’m 5’2/ 158 pounds, wearing 12 short.
