Moving on along into November! I feel like this year has flown by. Today is the day we take a look at what I primed in October. October was a big month with Prime Big Deal days, but I refrained from doing any shopping for myself because we were going on vacation the next week when most of the items would likely have arrived. I didn’t want to hold all those packages or burden the neighbors with them.
We did purchase some things I’ll talk about later, but they had arrival times for the following week. There really wasn’t “2 day prime shipping” in this sale. And, I’ve had issues recently with getting items on time. Anyone else?
Fashion Finds from Amazon Prime
Fashion is hit and miss with Amazon. Quality and sizing can be subpar, but then again you find a few gems.
Anrabess Wide Leg Sweatpants

I ordered these wide leg sweatpants just before going on vacation and took them with me for lounging in the cabin. They are a rayon blend and so soft and silky. They feel amazing on. My one issue with them- panty lines. Even my trusty no shows are visible through these. If I can resolve the VPL issue, I will wear these out of the house for errands. I’m not sure this would be an issue with darker colors.
The other issue I had with these pants was the warm apricot color. Most of my clothing, including the new sweatshirts I bought at Old Navy were in cool tones and didn’t work with these. So I bought a couple of other sweatshirts that do work with this color.
WIHOLL Womens Long Sleeve Crop Lightweight Sweatshirt
Ladies, be sure to put one of these in your cart. This is such a great feeling sweatshirt. It is light enough for mild fall and winter temps and so cute with the yolk and pleat detail on the back. It’s also a rayon blend and can be dressed up beyond sweatshirt level. I ordered in in apricot to match the pants but it comes in multiple colors and stripes.
The Drop Cropped Hoodie

I ordered this in brown to wear with the apricot pants and other items. This color isn’t currenlty available but this is another soft sweatshirt and great with wide leg pants and jeans given the cropped length.
It’s A Beaut Clark Sweatshirt

I thought this would be fun for the holiday, IF we ever get temps below 80.
LILLUSORY Cardigan Sweater
I saw this sweater on a You tube influencer and decided I had to have it. I did wait for a limited time deal to pop up and ordered it in two colors.

Cardigan; Similar top; Loft kick crop jeans; Mary Jane mules
I ordered it in red and my first go with the red was a big “No”. But thankfully the khaki colored one worked so I knew it must have been an ill cut/sized item. It was too oversized and more so on the left side. That happens with cheap, fast fashion. So I reordered the red one.
My first try with the red:

Zeagoo Flannel Shirt

When I started packing for my recent vacation, I discovered that most of my flannel shirts were, ahem, too small. I had one that worked for vacation but when I got back I decided to try this one. It’s not the softest flannel I’ve ever owned, but the fit is good and it’s long enough for leggings. A few washings will likely soften it up.
It looks great with this Zeagoo cropped corduroy jacket. This jacket is lightweight (unlined) but perfect for those of us with mild fall and winter weather.

Flannel; leggings; sneakers; ball cap
Tankaneo Womens Cropped Trench
A cropped trench was on my wish list, as are all the cropped jackets right now. Finally- clothes for short/short waisted people, lol. I wanted it in olive and finally pulled the trigger on this one. I had ordered one from Walmart before but the bottom was too wide and it stood too far away from my body.
This one worked. Of course it needed washing and steaming to get it to relax a bit but ended up being worth the risk I took in washing it to make sure it was what I wanted.

Wrapping this up as Part one but I’ll be back to edit this with what didn’t work out and I’ll have a part two for the other things we primed last month. I’m running out of time!
Edited: What Didn’t Work
I ordered a few other things and thought they were worth mentioning. Just because they didn’t work for me doesn’t mean they won’t work for you.
Allimy Women’s High Waisted Straight Ankle Wide
I have been looking for a pair of rust colored jeans or casual pants. I ordered these in a size 10 because I generally have to size up in Amazon pants. The rise was just too high for me and they were not quite short enough to be cropped pants on me either. (I’m 5’2″.) Had they fit, I would have kept them.
Milumia Women’s Casual Round Neck Basic Pleated Top
I wanted a lighterweight burgundy top. I initially ordered this one and decided to try this one as well. I wanted one that closely matched the burgundy pants I already have for a monochromatic look, but neither worked. This one is a little more plum/darker than the first one, which is brighter and has more red. I ended up keeping the first one. Both feel good and smooth and neither are scratchy. It’s just a matter of price and color preferences.
PRETTYGARDEN Women’s Knit Cardigan Sweaters

I’m also on the hunt for a burgundy cardigan. This one is nice but I decided that I didn’t like the white buttons on it. You might like them and it’s otherwise a great cardigan.
