As promised on Monday, here’s part 2 of what I purchased from Amazon Prime during October. Hurricane Helene’s destruction brought about the need to add to our hurricane prep and survival things and also revealed how unprepared our families are. They live further off the coast than we do, but suffered more damage this time. They were without power longer. Big deal days provided the opportunity to get some things that will help them out in the event of anything similar in the future.

Original Chainsaw Chain Storage – Portable Universal Chain Saw Holder Case Organizer Box
First, we knew we would be doing a lot of traveling with the chain saws to help the family clean up, so the hubby bought a case for chains.

Jackery had a great sale for Big Deal days, so each of our families is getting a power station for Christmas. We already owned one and it can be charged on solar panels or with power. We charged ours with our generator and then charged other things with this- battery powered fan, phones, laptop, etc.
We also got ourselves a second Jackery with set of solar panels.
These would make great practical gifts for anyone that spends time outdoors camping or working away from a power source. And, it there is ever a power outage- hurricanes or winter storms, you have a backup. Check for coupons and sales in the listings.
5Ft. Luminoodle with Battery
These USB powered rope lights are a lot of fun for camping, home décor, backyard lighting or even emergency lighting. Charge them with a USB battery pack or with the Jackery. We bought another one of these for our collection and a few to give to family members as gifts. They come with a storage bag that hangs to make a lantern when you light them inside the bag.
Anker MagGo 3-in-1 charger
I keep a tangled mess of cords on the kitchen counter because of all the different chargers I need for my different Apple devices. I’ve been wanting to consolidate some of it to one of these chargers. I tried a cheap one but it would not charge my watch fast enough. I’ve been eyeing this one, and it finally showed up with a 25% off coupon. Into my cart it went. And I’m so happy with it. It charges my Iphone 14, my watch and my airpods all at the same time and does so quickly. It takes up very little room on my desk, and folds for storage or travel. This is a must have in my book.
EZ Dose Pill Case
I have been meaning to get something to take vitamins in when I travel. This little gem is perfect for it. I first ordered this one, but the compartments would not open. I don’t have time to struggle with something, so back it went. No complaints with this one.
Travel Cable Organizer
I decided I needed something to organize all those charge cords when I travel. I have a small bag but they become a tangled mess. Not anymore!
Replacement Lids for Pyrex glass storage
The lids cracked on a couple of my 2 cup storage dishes that I use for leftovers. Easy enough to replace with Amazon.
ElusiaKa Wax Melt Warmer
I love wax melts over candles because there is not smoke when you blow them out. I have one warmer but decided to get another one to use elsewhere in the house or when I want to change scents and I’m not ready to dispose of the other wax. This is a pretty edition to side table in the living room.
This would make a great gift for someone, along with some great smelling melts.
Orthopedic Dog Bed
Our dog is 15.5 years old! And she suffers from anxiety and has torn up many a bed. We went for quite some time without replacing the last bed she tore up, opting to make her a pallet with sheets and blankets. She is having more trouble getting around so we relented and bought a new dog bed. This one is easy to put together, and Bella approves.
Dreco Tower Fan
This would have been so nice to have during our power outage during Helene. It was so hot! The hubby didn’t know how much wattage the old fan would pull so we only ran a small battery powered fan, but this one works great with our Jackery and doesn’t take up much room either. Now we are prepared for the hurricane season, or when we just want to circulate some air.
Energizer All Weather Led Light
This is powered by D batteries. We love this light for camping. I used it non stop during the power outage. It folds in on itself or you can fold it out to place light right over something you are working on. My mother-in-law heard us talking about it and wanted one, so we got it and delivered it to her during the power outage. It would make a fun gift for someone too.
