What I Wore Lately: March 2025 Favorites

Hello friends! If you are new here, welcome. If you are a long time reader, you may remember my What I Wore posts. I moved them to my weekly newsletter, so if you are a subscriber, you get outfit ideas based off what I wore every week. I thought it would be fun to bring this back as a monthly feature where I share 10 of my favorite outfits from the past month.

My life is pretty basic. I go to work, visit family, and run errrands. Most of my outfits are business to business casual for an office setting. I’m a petite pear shape. Keep that in mind when trying to translate an outfit to your own body. Let yourself be inspired by more than just the exact outfit. Take the formula, color combo, or some piece or element and make it your own.

I was getting really bored and wearing things on repeat at the end of winter. When March rolled around, I started interjecting some more color and spring vibes into my outfits.

If you prefer video and would like to see these outfits in motion, check out my reel here.

My 10 Favorite Outfits from March

Blue stripe button up blouse + navy trousers+ red cardigan + cap toe flats

Cardigan- Amazon; button up- JCrew Factory; similar; pants- similar; shoes- Amazon

Give me red, white and blue anytime of the year. I wore this to work. You could dress down these pieces, but the cap toe sling backs make it office chic. A blue button up like this one is a versatile piece that can go from work to weekend easily.

Navy cardigan + blue silk blouse + brown wide leg trousers + leopard Mary Janes

Cardigan-Amazon; blouse- Nordstrom; pants- Amazon; shoes- Gap (similar)

Brown and blue is always a great combo.  This is another work wear look for me. It leans to the business casual side with the cardigan and flats, but a navy blazer and leopard heels would take it up a notch if you need something more formal. I have these pants in two colors now and love them. I wear the 28 inch inseam. (I’m 5’2″) They are an affordable way to add some wide leg trousers to your work wear.

Teal suit + blue sweater + sling back flats

These pieces are old favorites from my closet. I love the soothing tones of the blues and a monochromatic outfit always looks polished.

Green Sweater + black trousers + Mary Jane flats

spring work wearPin

Sweater- AF; pants –Banana Republic Factory; shoes- DSW

This is a cozy but polished sweater. It’s spring appropriate with the elbow sleeves. This green really pops and contrasts against black. The Mary Jane sling backs give modern on trend vibes to an otherwise classic work look.

White lady jacket + navy print top + Navy pants + nude heeled mules

Another work look. Navy and white are a sophisticated combo for work. White freshens up the look and navy keeps it professional.

Navy blazer + lavender sweater shell + grey pants + silver sling back flats

Blazer- thrifted; shell- Ann Taylor (option); pants- BRF; shoes- Old Navy (similar) (similar)

More classics for work with a nod to spring with the lavender. Make workwear fun with silver flats or heels.

Striped cardigan jacket + white button up + pink trousers + black Mary Jane sling back flats

Cardigan- Amazon; pants- Nordstrom; shoes- DSW

I had a theme of navy going but then I jumped in with the pink! I purchased these pants in March and instantly fell in love. Pairing the pink with black and white it a great way to keep it professional and to still be taken seriously at work. These pants sold out in regular sizes right after I bought them, but are available in plus sizes.

Trench coat + waffle weave sweater + pull on cargo pants + sneakers

casual outfit with cropped trenchPin

Trench- Amazon; sweater- Amazon; pants- Old Navy; sneakers- Adidas; option

Early March was still chilly. I had a medical procedure and wanted something easy on and off and comfortable, but still polished. No need to resort to sweats when you have pieces this polished that are a comfy as pajamas.

V-neck sweatshirt + white wide leg crop jeans + boat shoes

wide leg cropped pants outfitPin

Sweatshirt- Gap Factory; wide leg jeans- BRF; boat shoes- Target

I purchased all these pieces in March and don’t regret a single one of them. These shoes are super comfy with memory foam insoles, and the sweatshirt is so cozy. The cropped length of the sweatshirt works great with these jeans.

White tee + light wash jeans + sweater scarf + sneakers + tote

white tee and jeans outfitPin

T-shirt- JCrew; jeans- Old Navy; sweater scarf- Amazon; sneakers- Gola; tote- Amazon

By the end of March, the weather was beginning to heat up. No need for a sweater, but if you like the look and vibe of the sweater over your shoulders, this faux sweater scarf is the trick. I love the pop of yellow with the pink and the light blue jeans.
