Some month’s it seems like I don’t buy much and some months it feels like I bought it all. August was one of those that seems like I bought it ALL, but a few things were purchased at the end of July and arrived in August. I didn’t include them last month, so I’m including them now. Most of these things relate to taking care of myself, whether through food, fitness, or rest so this is the self care and comfort edition. Let’s get to this.
1 Andalou Naturals Lavendar Shea Firming Body Butter– This smells so good! It is definitely a butter and it’s super thick. I recommend rubbing it between your hands a bit before applying and applying it to damp skin to get it rubbed in well. It’s made with clean ingredients so that’s a plus. There is a lot of talk about self care these days. It doesn’t have to be complicated. Buy products for yourself that are clean and free from harmful chemicals.
2 Andalou Naturals Deep Wrinkle Dermal Filler– I’m always seeking a miracle cure for those lines and wrinkles that are forming. While I know that doesn’t exist, I’ve been using this for about a month and it has definitely softened the deep furrow lines I have between my brows.
3 Mae Women’s Cotton Modal Oversized Lounge T-Shirt I bought some lounge/sleep shorts last year but I was never happy with the tops I bought to wear with them. I decided it was time to do something about that. This says over sized but if you want an oversized fit, size up. I got a small and it fits but it’s not an over sized fit. Otherwise it’s soft and comfy for a sleep tee, and we all know sleep is one of the best forms of self care.
4 Mae Women’s Loungewear Scoop Neck Short Sleeve T-Shirt Also cool and comfy but size up if you want a looser fit.
5 Warner’s Women’s Easy Does It No Dig Wire-Free Bra I’ve been looking for a comfy bra just to wear around the house on weekends. I’m looking for something similar to a sports bra but softer. This one is pretty good, and I like the convertible straps, but it’s not quite the level of comfort I’m looking for. A plus for me is that there are no aggravating pads. It’s comfy and I kept it, but it’s not THE ONE. I’m still looking.
6 Colored Plastic Mason Jar Lids for Ball, Kerr and More – I’ve discovered mason jar meals and salads in a jar and love to carry these to work. Good food (healthy) is great self care. I needed lids for my jars. You get 6 wide mouth and 6 regular.
7. Digital Multifunction Kitchen and Food Scale– I’m still doing the Faster Way to Fat Loss lifestyle and this little gem is helping me stay on track with my macros. It’s also great when we buy meats in bulk at Sam’s and I have to repackage it in smaller portions.
8 BALEAF Women’s 8″ /5″ /2″ High Waist Workout Biker Yoga Running Compression Exercise Shorts I’ve been replacing my running shorts with more leggings and more shorts of this style. I purchased some 8 inch shorts a couple of months ago but I got these in the 5 inch and I like that length better.
9 Hanes Sport Women’s Heathered Performance V-Neck Tee I have been replacing my workout wear along and along this year. I’ve been working on bottoms and sports bras and now it’s time for tops. I ordered two of these- one grey and one blue. You can’t beat this price.
